is for everyone, whether you would like to become a certified teacher
or just wish to deepen your personal experience of Kundalini Yoga. This
course gives you a lifelong foundation for a successful Yoga practice.
This certification program provides the tools and comprehensive
training to learn both the theory and techniques of Kundalini Yoga. You
will gain the knowledge and self-confidence to reach for personal
excellence and make a positive contribution to the world. You'll study
and practice Yoga while still being able to maintain your work schedule
and activities.
Yogi Bhajan Bio
Yogi Bhajan, Master of Kundalini Yoga, arrived in the United States in
1969 with a stated purpose: ³I have come to create Teachers,
not to gather disciples². Since then he has traveled
internationally teaching Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness. In 1969
Yogi Bhajan founded 3HO the Happy, Healthy, Holy
Organization, based on his first principle: ³Happiness is your
birthright². Through The Aquarian Teacher Program, Yogi Bhajan
has trained thousands of KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga Teachers. In
1994, the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association, (IKYTA)
was formed to further spread these priceless teachings through the
united efforts of Kundalini Yoga teachers worldwide.
The Course Content
The Aquarian Teacher program is a KRI Level 1 Certification program in
Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. In Level 1 you will become an
instructor and gain a deep understanding and experience of the core
science of Kundalini Yoga. You will develop the skills to instruct
students in Kundalini Yoga, kriyas and meditations as taught by Yogi
Bhajan. You will practice teaching Kundalini Yoga in a practicum
setting, participate in early morning Sadhanas (spiritual practice),
and experience the powerful transformational energy of White Tantric
Yoga. This course is recognized by Yoga Alliance and includes 200 hours
of classroom instruction and practicum in a well-defined curriculum.
The course includes:
· Teaching Kundalini Yoga postures
(asanas), · Kriyas
(exercises) & meditations
· Role of a Kundalini Yoga teacher
· Yogic philosophy & the origin
of kundalini Yoga
· Yogic & western anatomy
& physiology
· Yogic psychology, lifestyle and diet
· Study of mantra (sound) and pranayama
(breath)
· The chakra system and 10 energy bodies
· Practical class preparation ·

Shabad Saroop Singh
is a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher trainer and instructor, co-founder and director of the Institute, and an independent business owner. In 1981 he met Yogi Bhajan and has since studied under his personal tutelage. He has been teaching Yoga for 20 years and regularly travels to study and deepen his knowledge of Yoga. Shabad shares theteachings with a rare warmth, humanity, wisdom and a sense of humour. Teaching for him is a vehicle to serve others and to contribute to the upliftment of humanity.
