Shabad Saroop Singh Kundalini
Shabad Saroop Singh is a certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor, co-founder and director of Equilibrium, and an independent business owner. In 1981 he met Yogi Bhajan and has since studied under his personal tutelage. He has been teaching Yoga for 30 years and regularly travels to study and deepen his knowledge of yoga. Shabad shares the teachings of Yoga with a rare warmth, humanity, wisdom and a sense of humour. Teaching for him is a vehicle to serve others and to contribute to the upliftment of humanity.
Sat Narayan Kaur (Laurie Reinhart) Kundalini
Sat Narayan Kaur, a certified Kundalini yoga instructor, trained in Kundalini Yoga, has been practising since 2004. Her involvement in the business side at Equilibrium has given her opportunity to pursue the spiritual. Her teachings have been focused primarily in the meditation aspect of Kundalini Yoga. The Science of Naad and the mind.
Francis D Torres Kundalini
Francis Dubois Torres was formally trained as a psychotherapist in Paris, specializing in art therapy and strongly attracted to A. Lowen’s work in psychosomatic bioenergetics.

He has been a member of the Yoga Institute of Montréal since the day it opened, first as a student, then as a teacher after being trained by the school’s owners, Satjit Kaur Khalsa and Shabad Saroop Singh Khalsa. He came to Kundalini Yoga full handed with seven years of practice in Iyengar Yoga, studies in nutrition, anatomy and bio-mechanics, twelve years as a personal trainer in physical fitness, ten years as a professional dancer and thirty years of martial arts practice.

In addition to being a guide in Kundalini Yoga, Francis is a masseur and teaches Tai Chi Chuan. He also offers private classes in meditation and pranayam, harmonizing yogic kriyas and Taoist Chi work.
Françoise Armand Kundalini
Françoise works in the education field for the past 25 years. With respect to being a yoga Instructor, she offers clear and concise explinations, favoured with a stimulating and rigouras class.
Hari Ram (Nigel Wolf) Kundalini
Hari Ram (Nigel Wolf) is a Certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor and Shiatsu Therapist. Originally from Toronto, Nigel has studied many disciplines in the healing arts, including: Shiatsu Therapy training with Master Mitsuki Kikkawa; Reiki I and II; CranioSacral I; and Healing through the Human Energy Field, with Barbara Ann Brennan. In 1992, having studied Hatha Yoga for several years, Nigel was introduced to Kundalini Yoga. The following year, he moved into the Guru Ram Das Ashram. With encouragement from his beloved teacher, Sat Dharam Kaur, Nigel began teaching Kundalini Yoga in 1996. In the summer of 2005, Nigel completed the 3HO Self-Mastery Teacher-Training Program in New Mexico, under the guidance of Gurucharan Singh and other renowned instructors.
Jasvinder Kaur (Jennifer Malisauskas) Kundalini
Jasvinder is a Certified Kundalini Yoga and Khalsa Way® Pregnancy Yoga teacher. She is the mother of two remarkable children, and considers those pregnancies and births to be among her most sacred and beautiful experiences.

Her spiritual journey began with Integral yoga in 1998 while living in NYC. Since returning home in 1999 she has deepened her yogic practise over the years by studying Kripalu and Ashtanga yoga. It was through exploring the transformational power of breath and movement that sparked her interest in Kundalini Yoga. Her power and grace come through warmly in her practice and teaching. She feels truly blessed to be teaching and creating a space where students can explore and discover the wonderfully dynamic and creative energy of Kundalini yoga.

Kirpal Kaur (Sara Campuzano) Kundalini
Sara Campuzano originally from Mexico, came to Canada in 2002. Having practiced Kundalini Yoga back home in Mexico, she quickly found the Yoga Center, Equilibrium in Montreal. Shortly after being a regular student of Sat Jit Kaur Khalsa, who strongly encouraged her to teach whereby continuing her journey of self discovery. These teaching experiences re-emphasized to her that "the art of healing" is her calling. Today she is a certified massage practitioner specializing in Swedish, Thai, prenatal and chair massage. As well, she is certified in Ashtanga, followed studies with Gurmukh in Kundalini Yoga, and has been teaching Kundalini Yoga since 2002. Sara continues to deepen her practice with a daily Buddhist meditation. In her search for inner balance, Sara has found her true source of joy in sharing the techniques of yoga with others.

Kirat Kaur (Vicky Choclazeur) Kundalini
Kirat Kaur sees yoga as a powerful tool of evolution. After many years of intensive work on herself, and upon her trip to India, she decided to dedicate her life on healing and yoga.

In her teaching she transmits what is essential. Tools to better our lives, to improve our well being, and to support who we really are, and to live in joy. At the same time, guiding us on applying these tools in our a daily lives, thus, bringing a bit of magic in our lives…..

Anthea Browne Ashtanga
Anthea Browne has recently arrived in Montreal from Vancouver Island, where she founded and ran a successful yoga and dance school. Anthea's 25 years of teaching experience are rooted in formative ballet training, and a dance teaching degree from Ryerson University. Throughout a concurrent careers as a dancer, aerobics instructor, and personal trainer, Anthea has gained international popularity as an empathetic, inspiring, and knowledgeable teacher.

In 1998, Anthea discovered Ashtanga Yoga, deepening her practical knowledge of movement and exercise physiology through delving into more energetic and spiritual teachings. She also trained in Thai Yoga Massage and Clearheart Bodywork, developing her skills in massage, which she often brings into her classes. Most recently, Anthea's focus is on creating a light, strong practice. This investigation is informed by the work of Dona Holleman, Orit Sen-Gupta, Donna Farhi, Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen and Thomas Myers. Anthea continues to dance, usually improv-based work, maintains a regular yoga practice, and walks on the mountain every day with Sashia the yoga dog.
Antoine Marclay Hatha Vinyasa
Antoine Marclay has practised yoga since 1997. In the year 2004, he followed a teacher training course, and since 2005 he has gone deeper in his practise with Hart Lazer. Antoine has respect for the body,and the messages the body conveys.
Carina Raisman Hatha
Carina Raisman has been practicing yoga for over ten years and teaching for three. She is certified by Yoga Alliance in Ashtanga yoga, but complements her practice and teaching through various forms. Her main sources of inspiration are Anusara and Satyananda. Carina supports her teaching by anatomical theory to present alignment, posture and breathing techniques.

A graduate of the pre-medical program at McGill, Carina has strong foundations in anatomy, physiology, and immunology. Naturally, she uses this knowledge to better understand the therapeutic aspects of yoga.
Cory Garfinkle Hatha Vinyasa
Following a career as a professional dancer, Cory started practicing yoga 10 years ago seeking to bring depth, calmness and clarity to her life. After exploring different styles of yoga, she found herself most interested in and inspired by the flow of movement and breath in vinyasa style yoga.

Through her teaching, Cory guides her students towards an understanding of the asanas through breath, clarity of focus and flow of energy which enables individuals to discover the richness and depth in their own lives. Cory brings to her yoga classes a love for movement and a desire to inspire a feeling of freedom in the body – freedom in the body to bring a sense of freedom to the mind and spirit.

Cory also teaches classes in classical and contemporary dance forms continuing to bring her committment to the human form in movement and breath.
Fanou Lanciault Kripalu
Fanou Lanciault is a professional actress and a certified hatha yoga instructor trained in the Kripalu tradition. Always intrigued by the physical and emotional possibilities of the body, she studies in dance, martial arts and physical training. After a National Theatre School of Canada diploma, she constantly works in that field that she loves, from television, radio, theatre, all the way to movies. In love with acting and actors, she now coaches for theatre schools auditions. Meanwhile she discovered a brand new passion; yoga. Yoga unites her two great love; the physical and emotional side of a human being.

Becoming a yoga teacher is the inevitable continuity of her personal and professional path and the ideal opportunity to share her imagery, her vision and her passion.
Jayme Hernandez Kripalu
Jayme Hernandez is a certified yoga instructor trained in the Kripalu tradition and has been practising yoga for the past eight years. Jayme has had the opportunity to teach at several of Montreal and Toronto's most recognised studios. Jayme has recently organized and marketed a program called "Restoring Vitality in the Senior Community through yoga." She also periodically holds introduction to yoga workshops and teaches private, personalized programs to suit individual needs. In 2003 she completed the Mindful Meditation program by Jon Kabat-Zinn. In 2004 she travelled to the sacred island of Hawaii to study nutrition and spiritual life. During Jayme's class you can expect a flowing meditative class, building a solid foundation for your practice through breath, self awareness, and postural alignment. Jayme's dynamic approach builds strength,flexibility, and balance. Jayme believes in working at your own pace and capacity, nourishing your body, mind and soul with positive empowerment.
Lawrence Lefcort Hatha Vinyasa
Lawrence Lefcort is a certified massage therapist and Shiatsu practitioner. He studied Shiatsu at the Dragon and Phoenix school of Shiatsu (Montreal), and received his certification in Cayce-Reilly therapeutic massage from the Natural Health Consultants Institute (NHC) in Montreal. He has also taken advanced trainings in Therapeutic Touch, Active Isolated Stretching and Soft Tissue Release. He is a member of the Association des Massothérapeutes Professionels du Québec (A.M.P.Q.).

Lawrence has practiced yoga and meditation since 1996 with masters in India, Burma, Sri Lanka and Canada. He has lived and traveled extensively in South and Southeast Asia. He recently completed Richard Freeman's Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training in Boulder, Colorado. In 2002 he went to Mysore, India to study Ashtanga yoga with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson Sharat Rangaswamy. He has also studied yoga with Darby, Allison Ulan and Hart Lazer. A long-time Vipassana meditator, Lawrence incorpates a strong meditative foundation into his bodywork.

Lawrence currently teaches yoga and meditation at the Institute of Yoga and Meditation in the Plateau Mt. Royal.
Marie-Daphné Roy Kripalu
Marie-Daphné Roy is certified since 2000 as a 500 hours Kripalu Yoga teacher, as well as a Kripalu Yoga mentor, a Pregnancy Yoga teacher and as a Cancer and Cardiac Yoga teacher. >From 1998 to 2000, she lived, studied and taught classes and workshops at the Kripalu Center (MA), under the supervision of Yoganand Michael Carrol and Indukanta Uddasin. She also has briefly studied with other renowned teachers from various yoga schools, such as Yin, Anusara, Svaroopa and Chakra yoga styles. Marie-Daphné is also a Thaï-Yoga massage teacher, and has studied Ayurveda as it applies in a yoga practice and in massage therapy.

As a mean to deepen her understanding of the contemporary quest for meaning in our secular world, as well as learning about the hindu tradition from an academic perspective, Marie-Daphné started a Religious Science undergraduate program at UQAM. This allowed her to visit India twice for field studies purposes, and learn more about the practice of yoga and other hindu religious practices.
